Currently On My Reading List

Here are 5 books that are on my reading list, based on reviews + recommendations from friends.

1. The Hotel Nantucket - Elin Hilderbrand Back in 1922, 19-year old Grace Hedley died due to a fire at Hotel Nantucket. The hotel lost it's reputation after the incident, until recently, when a billionaire decided to buy + revamp the entire place. What he didn't know, was that Grace's (not so evil) ghost is still living in the hotel, determined to haunt the hotel until her death is acknowledged.
   

2. The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern The Night Circus is a magical circus that arrives out of the blue, only at night. It's unique, breathtaking + unpredictable. The story also follows two young magicians, Marco and Celia, who have been training since childhood for the ultimate competition. Romance starts to brew, but little do they know that only one will can be left standing in this competition they've been training for.
   

3. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - Holly Jackson Five years ago, high school senior Andie Bell was murdered, and her boyfriend Sal was accused. Pip still doesn't believe it was Sal, even though the whole town seems convinced, and she embarks on dangerous quest to uncover the truth about what really happened to Andie.
   

4. An Unwanted Guest - Shari Lapena Deep in the woods, there's a cozy inn that seems like the perfect romantic weekend getaway. And it is, until a blizzard hits and all the guests are locked in, with zero contact to the rest of the world. Things start to go downhill after guests mysteriously start dying one by one.
   

5. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd - Agatha Christie There are too many Hercule Poirot books to count, but this one specifically has been on the top of my watch list. I didn't read much into it as I hate knowing too much before starting a book, but this one is apparently quite different and even controversial. In this story, Poirot investigates the murder of Roger Ackroyd, who was killed 24 hours after his fiance ODed.
